Do you agree or disagree: Is Green house a good
We are confronted with energy crisis in contemporary society and
many architects are thinking about creating new designs to
alleviate energy shortage.
In this case, I agree with the statement that green house is a
preferable option.
Green house is popular among real estate developers because such
houses are a good selling point. In metropolitan cities,
skyscrapers have been changing the skyline on a daily basis.
However, people are tired of living in apartments which can hardly
meet their desire for more convenience and comfort. Thus, the
designing and construction of green houses with a self-sufficient
function are bound to be well accepted on the market, which tends
to boost the economic prosperity.
Consumers who purchase green houses can enjoy unparalleled
advantages. For instance, instead of supplying tap water, a tank
can be put on the roof to collect rain and snow. After purifying
the water via built-in facilities, drinking water can be supplied
automatically around the clock. Besides, with other specially
designed appliances, electricity can be generated through
collecting the solar radiation, greatly easing the pressure on
fossil fuels, which are major sources of energy. Furthermore, the
improved sewage systems can recycle human wastes, so that they can
be used as fertilizers or soil conditioners on plants and flowers
in the backyard.
Green houses greatly contribute to a society featured by
sustainable development. For one thing, when energy supplied to the
house is created by the inner system, the demand for energy
consumption tends to decline, which would greatly relieve the
burden on the already vulnerable natural resources. For another,
all the garbage can be disposed of in an appropriate manner through
the circulation system, and thus less pressure would be put on
landfill. As a result, environmental protection will be guaranteed
in a real sense.
In a nutshell, with so many merits brought by green houses, we have
no reason not to promote the application of such houses on a large
scale. I firmly believe that the popularity of green houses would
be on the rise in the years to come.
COPE的写作文章到目前为止基本上都是一边倒的题目，即Do you agree or disagree?
作文的题目和最后一篇的阅读内容息息相关。把握阅读文章的主旨，脉络和结构，对于写作部分做到心中有数起着举足轻重的作用。尽管题目允许考生使用阅读部分的论点，但是我认为不宜参考阅读内容太多（除非实在没有什么想法），因为这显得考生缺乏独立思考的能力。写出自己独到的见解，是赢得考官认可的关键。
在词汇方面，同义词替换的能力是各种阅读和写作的核心内容。在写作部分就更能够体现出一个人积极词汇的多少，因此如何扩充积极的词汇量将是提高写作能力的一个重要的环节。机械地背诵单词书里的单词就像背电话号码一样，没有任何意义。词汇要在实践中记忆，而且要强化运用。
语法方面，充分利用各种语法结构是衡量考生英语水平高低的另一条标准。这包括简单句、并列句、复合句、不定式、分词、动名词、倒装、时态、语态、虚拟语气、插入语、同位语等等。如果这方面没有系统的掌握，是不可能在考场上紧张的氛围里写出达到要求的文章的。
这篇文章的思路很容易把握。我认为绿色环保的房子值得推广，分论点为：1.对开发商有利。2. 对消费者有利。3.
对一个可持续发展的社会有利。既然方方面面都获益，因此没有理由不去推广绿色环保的房子。这篇文章的用词考究：
学术性词汇替换简单词汇
be confronted with
be faced with
contemporary
preferable option
good choice
metropolitan city
skyscraper/highrise
tall building
on a daily basis
同义词替换：
energy crisis = economic prosperity = economic
unparalleled=unrivalled=
relieve=ease=alleviate；
有档次的词汇：

sewage system（排水系统）; vulnerable（脆弱的）; be disposed of（被处理）; in an
