我才开始学习LINUX系统，在安装EMBOSS是遇到问题，向大家请教
我在根目录下创建的文件夹，解压EMBOSS包，进入EMBOSS文件夹后，输入命令./configure结果出现：[root EMBOSS-5.0.0]# ./configure& checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c& checking whether build environment is sane... yes& checking for a thread-safe mkdir -p... /bin/mkdir -p& checking for gawk... gawk& checking whether make sets $(MAKE)... yes& checking for gawk... (cached) gawk& checking for gcc... no& checking for cc... no& checking for cl.exe... no& configure: error: no acceptable C compiler found in $PATH& See `config.log' for more details.别人告诉我这是系统没有安装c语言编译器或者编译器命令不在路径里。我的系统是fedora 8 ，我不知道这个版本是否安装了c语言编辑器，如果装了，该如何解决。先谢谢大家了！

你的系统没有安装gcc。对redhat/fedora不熟，应该是像rpm -Uvh之类的命令安装。

你用的是什么发行版的linux，也许我能帮你对于新手建议直接使用rpm或deb格式的软件包，当然自己编译也可以，只需要把编译工具安装好就可以了

没有安装编译器啊， 安装系统时要选择办公和开发。

安装光盘里面的gcc的rpm包，或者 yum install gcc 在线安装。

呵呵，重装fedora8 ，安装时组件全选，呵呵，哈哈，哈哈哈

可以考虑装 debian，用 testing/lenny 发行版。已经有预编译的 emboss 和 emboss-explorer 包。

求助：yum安装openssl版本库冲突的问题
[root@css01 sbin]# yum -y install openssl-devel
Error:&&Multilib version problems found. This often means that the root
& && & cause is something else and multilib version checking is just
& && & pointing out that there is a problem. Eg.:
& && && &1. You have an upgrade for openssl which is missing some
& && && && &dependency that another package requires. Yum is trying to
& && && && &solve this by installing an older version of openssl of the
& && && && &different architecture. If you exclude the bad architecture
& && && && &yum will tell you what the root cause is (which package
& && && && &requires what). You can try redoing the upgrade with
& && && && &--exclude openssl.otherarch ... this should give you an error
& && && && &message showing the root cause of the problem.
& && && &2. You have multiple architectures of openssl installed, but
& && && && &yum can only see an upgrade for one of those arcitectures.
& && && && &If you don't want/need both architectures anymore then you
& && && && &can remove the one with the missing update and everything
& && && && &will work.
& && && &3. You have duplicate versions of openssl installed already.
& && && && &You can use &yum check& to get yum show these errors.
& && & ...you can also use --setopt=protected_multilib=false to remove
& && & this checking, however this is almost never the correct thing to
& && & do as something else is very likely to go wrong (often causing
& && & much more problems).
& && & Protected multilib versions: openssl-1.0.1e-15.el6.i686 != openssl-1.0.1e-16.el6_5.14.x86_64
You could try using --skip-broken to work around the problem
You could try running: rpm -Va --nofiles --nodigest
不能用本地源
恩 去掉了本地yum源后正常
