This live, work, stay,, and play community offers upscale shopping and dining, hotel accommodations by Staybridge Suites, Courtyard By Marriott and a Mobil Four-Star Ballantyne Hotel [1] which feat golf, dining, and boutique shopping. Premiering in 2009 an aloft by Starwoodhotels and Resorts.Ballantyne was named after land developer Howard C. “Smoky” Bissell's aunt Barbara Ballantyne. Mr. Bissell was the visionary [neutrality is disputed] who predicted that Charlotte would expand toward the South Carolina border and planned an office and commercial development relative to his prediction.Ballantyne includes a country club community, with a growing number of neighborhoods with homes that range from starter homes to estates that sell for millions of dollars.
