第一场，伊戈达拉成为赢球的最大功臣之一，他对于詹姆斯的防守已然到了极致，这让詹姆斯在第四节和加时赛明显体能耗尽，连球都拿不稳；而在进攻端，伊戈达拉靠着出色的三分球和快攻暴扣，砍下两队替补中最高的15分，正是他在攻防两端都无可挑剔的表现，让在第一场拉锯战中涉险过关，先拔头筹。第一场的出色发挥，外界就伊戈达拉进入首发的呼声甚高，不过虽然对爱将大加赞赏，却不愿破坏球队的化学反应。于是伊戈达拉依旧在首节还有5分半时替补登场。只是这场没了上场的亮眼发挥，首节他几乎没有任何表现，所有数据都是0，却被詹姆斯中投打进一球，第一节颇为郁闷。第二节一上来，伊戈达拉遭到詹姆斯-抢断被迫犯规。好在接下来在第二阵容中他获得了更多的组织球权，伊戈达拉先是和利文斯顿双线快攻，回传给利文斯顿单手暴扣；然后又给汤普森助攻得手，勇士开始掌握场上主动。但这场伊戈达拉却完全防不住詹姆斯，詹皇一次加速突破强行超车，伊戈达拉在背后搂不住，不惜背后使出“锁喉”，好在这球并未冲着伤人去，詹姆斯也没太计较，径直走去罚球。伊戈达拉上半场仅有的进球是单打詹姆斯，一对一干拔出手，不但命中还造了詹姆斯犯规，可惜加罚不中。但这场对詹姆斯的防守却不尽如人意。比起上一场对位时詹姆斯的14投4中一共11分，这场到上半场詹姆斯就5投4中拿下12分。下半场一上来，伊戈达拉又一个疏忽被詹姆斯抢断，再赔上一个犯规。第三节节末斯贝茨扣篮不进，伊戈达拉抢下前场篮板却再次出现失误，勇士错失到手的两分。
到第四节，伊戈达拉被詹姆斯骗了个投篮犯规，这让他非常恼火，好在接下来将功补过，终于命中三分。而在常规时间的最后一攻上，詹姆斯强突，伊戈达拉贴身卡住位置阻止了他的绝杀球。但到了加时赛，伊戈达拉再次隐形，只是第一次单打德拉维多瓦失手，抢下后场篮板又传球失误，最终勇士加时赛惜败，伊戈达拉并未做出多少贡献。全场比赛，伊戈达拉出场36分钟，5投3中拿下7分6篮板5助攻，也有4次失误和5次犯规，对位的詹姆斯拿下39+16+11的大号三双，虽然詹姆斯命中率低迷，但却并未太多损耗，而这场勇士的车轮战里伊戈达拉也没有太多高光表现，显然对于这位千万级别的防守悍将，伊戈达拉仅仅如此是远远不够的，想要击败残阵，伊戈达拉需要贡献更多。

　　凭借着詹姆斯全场41分6个篮板和4次助攻的贡献，北京时间4月4日，热火也在主场99-93战胜了76人队，而詹姆斯之所以能在最后一节打得如此自如，也和76人主将伊戈达拉在第三节因伤下场而有着直接的关系，至少在伊戈达拉在场时，詹姆斯的发挥远不如这么神勇，伊戈达拉在下场之前就已经得到了11分5个篮板和2次抢断，命中率也高达7投5中。
　　对于任何一名NBA球员而言，他们从来都不会奢望在防守端完全限制詹姆斯，他们能做的就是在防守端尽可能做好，并且在进攻端给詹姆斯制造一些困难，伊戈达拉显然就是这样的球员，而且他做得相当不错，虽然詹姆斯在比赛的第一节就打得风生水起，凭借着多次反击有着7投6中的命中率得到了12分，而伊戈达拉则命中了一个3分并有一次暴扣，拿下了5分。但是最让人印象深刻的是首节的最后一攻，伊戈达拉的贴身逼防，让詹姆斯有些犹豫，并最终在最后2秒钟出现了运球失误的情况，从而丧失了最后一击的机会。
　　第二节，伊戈达拉和詹姆斯是同时被主帅替换出场的，詹姆斯虽然曾有过高难度的篮下拉杆上篮，但是伊戈达拉巧妙地防守给詹姆斯制造了不小的麻烦，他先是抢断了诺里斯-科尔给詹姆斯的传球，然后自己连续利用快攻的机会两次暴扣，帮助球队将比分到48-43。此后他又曾抢断查莫斯的传球，只不过上篮不中。而詹姆斯则在此节结束前1.4秒和巴蒂尔完成了一次传切配合，最终在篮下打板得分。
　　毫无疑问，伊戈达拉在第二节对詹姆斯的限制相当成功，而进入第三节之后，伊戈达拉更是让詹姆斯在进攻端遭遇了极大地挑战，甚至是不惜牺牲自己的进攻为代价，他的目的很简单，就是死死缠住詹姆斯，让他对球队的贡献降到最低，这一招在第三节非常奏效，在两人同时在场时，詹姆斯仅仅得到了两次罚球的机会得到了2分。而伊戈达拉甚至还有一次在底线接球后晃过詹姆斯，然后突到篮下个人暴扣的精彩场景――如若这样的情形持续下去，谁都不知道最后的情形会怎样，但是意外就在这时候发生了，此节结束前4分42秒，伊戈达拉在上线持球，结果一侧过来骚扰的查莫斯竟然在挥手时戳到了伊戈达拉的眼睛――后者立刻倒地翻滚不止，并最终被米克斯替换下场，而此后的情形便急转直下，在伊戈达拉下场之后，詹姆斯一人连续得到了21分，最终帮助热火锁定胜局。（搜狐体育 翊冲）
