Memories of the 4-0 drubbings by Bayern Munich in 2013 and AC Milan in 1994 came rushing back as Barca endured a nightmarish 90 minutes to rival those two debacles as their worst ever European night. Every player with the exception of the German goalkeeper had a display to forget and that's putting it kindly. Barring a miracle at the Camp Nou (no side has overturned a 4-0 deficit in a two-legged tie in any competition in the club's history), Barca will be heading out of the competition at the earliest stage since Liverpool knocked them out in the last 16 in 2007. With the league title edging closer towards Real Madrid, their last shot at a trophy is now looking like the Copa del Rey.

4 -- The main question before the game was whether Luis Enrique would opt for Andre Gomes or Ivan Rakitic. He opted for the former with the apparent aim of having more control in possession but Barca dearly missed the Croatian's tenacity, while Andres Iniesta looked woefully short of full match fitness. Beyond selection questions, the team was tactically inept and the coach had no solutions to PSG's merciless dominance.
Player ratings (1-10; 10 = best. Players introduced after 70 minutes get no rating)
GK Marc-Andre ter Stegen, 7 -- On an individual level he had a better night than his two other trips here and kept Barca in the contest in the first half with a marvellous point-blank save from Julian Draxler followed by a double save, but he was powerless to stop the deluge after the break.
DF Sergi Roberto, 4 -- Again displayed his lack of experience in the right-back role as he looked lost on Draxler's goal and was frequently caught out of position or brushed off the ball.
DF Gerard Pique, 6 -- One of the few players to provide leadership on a horrendous night and was not directly at fault for any of the goals. Gave the team extra presence in the opposing area as they searched in vain for an away goal, almost assisting Samuel Umtiti.
DF Samuel Umtiti 5 -- Gave away the foul for Di Maria's opener and although he made some important blocks to prevent further embarrassment he was every bit as culpable as his ravaged teammates.
DF Jordi Alba 5 -- Had one of his worst displays. He was monstered by Draxler and drowned in PSG's intensity.
MF Andre Gomes 4 -- Allowed Marco Verratti to dance past him on Di Maria's second goal and looked cumbersome in his defensive duties, providing little compensation in attack. Was cowardly in the wall on Di Maria's free kick.
Lionel Messi had one of his worst games in a Barca shirt, as like his teammates he failed to create much of anything vs. PSG.
MF Sergio Busquets, 5 -- Was given the run around by Adrien Rabiot and could do little to stop the tide of attacks from the home side.
MF Andres Iniesta 5 -- Looked well off the pace, embarrassed by Angel Di Maria for the third goal, and could not provide the usual pause and thought in possession.
FW Lionel Messi, 4 -- Proved he is not incapable of the odd nightmare and had one of his worst displays in a Barca shirt. He was mugged in the lead up to Draxler's goal and was unable to conjure any of his usual magic.
FW Luis Suarez, 5 -- Huffed and puffed but had hardly any chances and his usual hard work bore little fruit for his attacking partners today. A shadow of the player who nutmegged his way to two goals here in 2015.
FW Neymar, 5 -- Made a good start but was always in Thomas Meunier's back pocket and was quickly kept in check every time he threatened to get in behind.
Substitutes
MF Rafinha (for Andre Gomes), 5 -- Rakitic would have been a more suitable replacement and he provided little improvement on the bungling Portuguese.
MF Ivan Rakitic (for Iniesta), NR -- Gave the team some respite from PSG's high press and was on the pitch for their best spell.

Marc-Andre ter Stegen (6): Made a number of big saves in the opening period from Matuidi and Draxler and was also alert when coming off his line, breaking PSG counters up and being brave with the ball. Not primarily at fault for any of the goals, but may feel he could have done better with some of them.
Sergi Roberto (3): Whether it was Draxler or Di Maria, had a tough time in the first half. Had little to no support from Gomes and you have to wonder if he’d have benefitted from the inclusion of Rakitic instead.
Gerard Pique (4): Was unable to bring the ball out of defence against a well-drilled PSG side. Also failed to get close to Cavani, who scored his team’s fourth goal on the night.
Samuel Umtiti (3): Gave away the free-kick which led to the opening goal and a breakdown in communication with Alba allowed Draxler to slip in for the second. Almost got an unlikely away goal late on, but hit the post with a header from two yards out.
Jordi Alba (3): Beaten in defence by the pace and intensity of Emery’s team. The left-back also had problems getting forward and helping Neymar, who was Barcelona’s best player.
Sergio Busquets (2): Rabiot took him out of the game. Was unable to start play and struggled when he was in possession. It’s been a while since we’ve seen Busquets look so disconnected from the game.
Andre Gomes (2): An awful night saw him hauled off before the hour. Missed a great chance to make it 1-1, was booked and failed to provide adequate cover for Sergi Roberto in defence.
Andres Iniesta (2): First start since injuring his calf against Real Sociedad in January. Was given very little time on the ball by a PSG side who didn’t let up when it came to pressing. Perhaps wasn’t fully fit. Or perhaps just wasn’t at his best, like the majority of his teammates.
Lionel Messi (2): Lost the ball in the build up to PSG’s second goal when under pressure from the keen Rabiot. Struggled to effect the game in the first 45 minutes and the trend continued in the second half. It’s difficult to remember a performance as poor as this from the Argentine this season.
Luis Suarez (3): Hardly in the game as PSG swarmed all over Barcelona. But when he was, he often took one too many touches — or even the wrong touch. A difficult night for the Uruguayan, who saw his compatriot Cavani provided with much better service up the other end.
Neymar (7): Bar?a’s best player in the first half and created the only real chance with his pace, only for Gomes to miss. Continued to be the biggest threat after the break, although that didn’t mean too much given the context of the game. Shot wide from an Alba pull back and continued to test Meunier deep into stoppage time.
Substitutes
Rafinha (4): Came on for Gomes wearing a face-mask due to a broken nose, but struggled to get into the match.
Ivan Rakitic (5): Looked rightly aggrieved to have been thrown on so late. Did more in his cameo than others, showing fight and technique.

None of the goals were the fault of his bar maybe the first one which he could’ve done better. Passing was really solid and this is surprising since PSG pressed so well. A game to put behind his back and move forward. No point dwelling on something you had no control over.Sergi Roberto (3): Awful match, just like the rest of the team. Couldn’t cope with Draxler and terrible under pressure. Added nothing at all going forward. Passing was fine but no risks taken going forward. Perhaps the team’s tactical issues made it all look even worse, but it was a shocking performance.Gerard Piqué (5):&Bar?a’s best defender in what was an awful performance by the team. It’s hard to personally blame him for anything in this match as the team looked awful both on the ball and without the ball and PSG punished everything. He passed the ball well and did well under pressure. Defensively, he had a couple of good reactions but it was hard for him to defend so much space, the team defended awfully without the ball.Samuel Umtiti (4.5):&Dreadful game from the Frenchman. We don’t hear that too often. Rash challenge to give away the FK that led to the first goal. On the second goal, he came too narrow which allowed Draxler too much space. Passing was solid as we have been accustomed to but most of them were sidewards. 2 defensive actions all game is very poor though completed both of them. He could’ve got one away goal but missed his header from point blank.Jordi Alba (4):&It seemed as if he wasn’t on the pitch for the most part. PSG did 52% of their attacks down Sergi Roberto’s side. He made one wonderful tackle to stop PSG adding another goal to what they already had. On the 3rd goal, he could’ve done a lot better. The goal doesn’t happen if he tracks Di Maria rather than running away from him. He managed to create one chance today which is absurd. Passing was ok but for the most part he didn’t contribute much regardless of how many touches he had.Sergio Busquets (4):&Poor performance, nothing like we’re used to seeing from him. It wasn’t entirely his fault though, as the team was set up poorly. He did pass the ball well but often had no options and the midfield looked disjointed. PSG’s great pressing didn’t allow him time on the ball and forced him into mistakes. Defensively, he got overrun by PSG midfielders. Couldn’t defend so much space that was there for the taking. A game he’ll want to forget quickly.André Gomes (3.5):&Very poor from the Portuguese. Didn’t position himself well on the pitch and even when he was on the ball, he didn’t seem to make right decisions. Got overrun easily by PSG’s midfielders and didn’t do much defensively. Had the best chance of the game, PSG’s keeper did well to save it but he could’ve done better. Just like with the rest of the team, it’s hard to blame him personally as the team lacked basics in this match and got outclassed tactically. Subbed off after 60 minutes.Andres Iniesta (4.5):&By his standards this was a poor game. Perhaps him not having enough games under his belt since returning from injury could’ve played a part. You can’t expect him to fix everything when there are 4+ players underperforming at the same time. To even my surprise, he failed to complete 1 take on which I don’t think I’ve ever seen. Passing on the whole was solid but didn’t really equate to much at all. He was subbed for Rakiti? with 15 or so minutes to go.Lionel Messi (4):&One of the worst games we’ve seen in his entire career. Although the team got outclassed from the tactical point of view, and he often received the ball surrounded with numerous PSG players, he also made some mistakes we usually never see from him. Got dispossessed quite easily at times, PSG’s 2nd goal came after he got dispossessed which isn’t typical of him. Passing wasn’t the best. Positioned himself centrally once again but there was no link up play on the right side whatsoever and the team didn’t look like a unit. Looked very frustrated throughout the match. A game to forget.Luis Suárez (4):&Not much to say about his performance. Looked very isolated throughout the game and didn’t receive the ball in dangerous areas at all. Hasn’t attempted a single shot on goal, that says it all about this frustrating match. He tried applying pressure to PSG’s back 4 but couldn’t do much. It looked like Bar?a played without a striker in this game, not much would’ve been different.Neymar (6):&The only player other than ter Stegen to put a performance in, though it may not have been his best, it was better than all other Bar?a players. His crossing was absolutely woeful. He didn’t even complete one of the seven he attempted. Dribbling however wasn’t too bad. Though he completed 50% of his take ons. The dribbles did seem to cause PSG problems. One of these led to the Gomes chance which should’ve been 1-1, but it wasn’t to be. He didn’t help going back. Not a great game but he was the only player that tried to make something happen.Rafinha:&Replaced Gomes in the last 30 minutes of the game but not.much has changed. Positioned wide for the most part, he didn’t contribute much in the buildup. He did receive the ball in dangerous areas a couple of times but couldn’t do much.Ivan Rakiti?:&Replaced Iniesta late on into the game, it must be said he did bring some energy to the team but it is far too late to change the tide of the tie. He attempted more tackles (winning 75% of them) in 15 minutes than Umtiti did in 90 mins. Quite telling. However, he did lose all his aerial duels oddly. I thought this was the perfect game for Gomes to start which in hindsight was the wrong decision. I wonder how much difference he would’ve made if he had started. I’m sure he could’ve scored the chance Gomes missed to make it 1-1.Referee *河蟹*mon Marciniak (5):&This is the first time the Polish referee has had to manage a game with either of these 2 teams. He started off well by booking Rabiot deservedly but as the game went on he became more lenient with fouls PSG committed, even if that didn't affect the outcome of the match. Neymar was fouled pretty often and as was Messi yet either he didn’t call a foul or didn’t issue a yellow. It must be said that all of Barcelona’s booking was justified and perhaps he missed a booking on Umtiti with a foul for the first goal. Luis Enrique在赛后接受TV3记者采访的完整版。曾在巴萨对曼城的比赛后谎称Messi与Arteta在球场通道中爆发过争吵的记者Guasch于今天赛后再度通过亲皇马的COPE电台声称：在接受完采访后打算冲向提问者的Luis Enrique被三人拉住后高喊：别碰我。从视频里无法看出她所言属实。
也不见在现场的其他媒体的记者有相关报道，长期跟随巴萨采访的记者Edu Polo在404上指责Guasch的报道不实。
Luis Enrique在采访时确实没好气，他认为提问者没有认真看比赛，指出球队在比赛中从433换成了4231，为了让Messi接到更多球。
