Just make sure that any references to fields match those contained in the actual database. Doing so will create a recordset whose content will match the constraints described by the SQL statement. Considering that there are entire books on this subject, I can hardly expect to do it serious justice but there are some basics which can be summarized in a short tutorial like this one. First of all, there are 5 parts to an SQL statement which you should recognize: Command
Predicates
Aggregate Functions
With a little inspection you can pretty much guess what each of these pieces of an SQL statement can do. However, here are a couple which you'll not want to miss and which I use pretty regularly. Don't miss the last one in my list, which is a very easy way to sort a recordset! SelectThis is the most basic command which tells VB which fields to show in the recordset. DeleteSimple, but very powerful means of deleting many records at one time. FromDefines the Table from which the fields will be extracted. WherePrecedes the conditions by which records are selected from the database Order BySorts the records by any combination of fields you chose. This should get you started. Try out a few of the examples on one of the databases which come with VB and you'll see that it's really very easy to use the power of SQL!

It doesn’t take much alcohol to increase the pleasures of nicotine. Once scientists get to the bottom of the pharmacological interaction that happens between alcohol and nicotine, they may have a better understanding of how to treat both addictions more effectively.

Bagasse was dried in an oven, cut into small pieces,grounded and screened to collect four fractions of different particle sizes, less than 0.64 mm, between 0.64 and 1.2 mm, 1.2-1.6 and 1.6-2 mm. Bagasse (3g) of desired particle size was taken in 250 ml Erlenmeyer flasks and moistened with medium (15-20% sucrose or molasses, 0.25%, NH4NO3, 0.1%, KH2PO4,0.025%, MgSO4 and 0.004%, CuSO4, pH 4.0) to set the desired moisture level. Media were sterilised at 121℃ for 60 min to provide proper cooking of the substrate and to increase its susceptibility to microbial attack. Wheat bran media were similarly prepared.Sugarcane molasses was clarified by potassium ferrocyanide treatment. Sugarcane molasses was diluted with double distilled water to the desired concentration andthe pH was adjusted to 4.5. Heavy metal ions were then precipitated by adding 0.1% (w/v) potassium ferrocyanide followed by heating at 90℃ for 20 min. The precipitated heavy metals were removed by filtration and filtrate was passed through activated charcoal to obtain clarified molasses.
