国内外相关统计数据根据我国公安部交管部门交通事故数据显示，月交通事故389670起中，80989人死亡，因爆胎引发的事故就占了将近20%。而在高速公路46%的交通事故是由于轮胎发生故障引起的，爆胎就占了70%。
美国汽车工程师学会的调查，美国每年有26万交通事故是由于轮胎气压低或渗漏造成的，另外，每年75%的轮胎故障是由于轮胎渗漏或充气不足引起的。
继ABS.安全气囊之后的第三大汽车安全系统:胎压监测系统（TPMS）是“事前主动”型汽车安全保护系统，在轮胎出现危险征兆之前提供预警，避免重大交通意外发生。日，美国国会制定了法律，要求2003年11月以后美国出厂的新车都需要陆续把TPMS作为标准配置。同时欧盟也做出了类似规定，因此人们把TPMS、WTPMS称为继ABS、安全气囊之后的第三大安全系统。
美国相关TPMS法规鉴于轮胎对于安全行车的重要性，2005年4月，美国国家高速公路交通安全管理局(NHTSA)发布的最终规定要求（安全标准FMVSS 138号）:总重在4563公斤或以下的车辆(单轴双轮的车辆除外)都需要安装一套TPMS。
关于胎压你知道吗：
在美国高速公路上，每年发生约5000起交通事故，其中75％的都是因为欠压或者漏慢汽造成的；
高达60％的驾驶者不清楚自己的轮胎应该充气达到什么样的气压，欠压会降低轮胎的使用寿命；
乎高达90％以上的驾驶者没有定期检测胎压的习惯；
轮胎气压每下降0.6BAR，压力相应增加，油燃消耗就增加4％；
轮胎气压每下降0.6BAR，轮胎的使用寿命相应降低40％；
轮胎温度高于最高限温（一般不能超过80℃）后，每升高一度，轮胎磨损就增加2%。

　　装胎压监测完全是因为老婆，车子经常她开（新手），有一回轮胎扎了瘪了她不知道，路边的人提醒后才去补胎，所幸没出事故。所以决定上这个东西了，每次发车都会显示一下胎温胎压，非常方便。有什么异常也会有提示，安全。

　　先上个胎压的全家福。拿到手之后，这个控制器大的让我犹豫过是不是退货，换个点烟器的那种算了，安装方便也不用拆中控，还不用头疼这么大一坨塞到哪里去。但是后来那个惊喜让我不再犹豫~

　　然后准备将胎压主机固定在中控台里面的时候犯难了――主机太大，根本没地方放~完了~~~
　　赶紧开动脑筋，找了插保险的那个地方，但是不好固定。接着找，发现中控台最下面（靠近油门踏板）的那块板子可以掰开，而且空间还很大，于是马上整理好线束，往下来~
看~惊喜来了！！！！居然发现了电视盒！！！！以前还专门问过4S这个华阳的机器带不带电视块的，回答是否定的。居然让我在这里发现了，4儿子真的是坑爹啊！！

　　第二天吃过中饭就到单位附近的轮胎店把轮胎上的头子装上了，换的过程很简单，就是换气门芯，做动平衡，天气太冷，就没有拍照了，见谅，直接上图！
　　轮胎装上后开始没有信号的，吓我一跳，是不是哪里装错了。后来轮胎店老板说开一圈、车子动动就会有信号了，果真是这样~一开始每个轮胎都加压到3.3，然后放气到2.7，还没匹配，居然每个轮子都是对应的，估计第一次不用匹配吧，详细见图，放哪个轮胎的气哪个胎就报警，很灵！

　　还有个小遥控器，可以随时看胎压信息的，我选择安在这个地方了~平时开车基本上看不到了，破坏不了原车的美观。
