廣場舞大叔大媽將變成“新道具”考驗選手記憶能力。
即將過去的2014年，在眾多歌舞、真人秀節目中，大型科學真人秀節目《最強大腦》掀起“燒腦”熱。第二季節目即將於日回歸：范冰冰、舒淇兩位女神加盟，確保節目“燒腦”的同時也養眼，此外各種出其不意的道具，將為《最強大腦》增色不少。
道具升級：
挑戰高度、廣度和速度
《最強大腦》第一季中魔方牆、斑點狗、巨型攀岩牆，都曾引發網友的熱門討論關注。據節目組介紹，第二季中，伴隨著選手技能的擴展，突破了“記憶力為王”的相對單一狀態，向更廣泛、更全面的感知能力拓展，也使得道具全面升級。
新一季中有的挑戰項目需要在海拔1200米以上展開，因此也專門配備了直升機高空服務。除了“高度”，這一季還有項目挑戰“最大面積”，選手要在高空中記下某個地理范圍的全貌，所涉及的記憶范圍則達4000余萬平方米，相當於5600個足球場。此外，在某個賽車挑戰項目中，所達到的最高時速達160千米﹔而時間最長的一項挑戰項目需要的時間長達18天，最短挑戰“閃電心算”時間則壓縮至0.1到0.3秒。在人力上，第二季節目中也出現了700人組成的“人海道具”，到時觀眾將看到700位大叔大媽集體大跳廣場舞。
投入升級：
30萬元制作3D頭骨
此前，節目組曾發出征集令，征集30位無整容美女進行3D頭骨打印，據悉，每個3D頭骨的打印需7個多小時，打印費用為10元/g，而每個頭骨重約700-800g，單個頭骨道具成本已近萬元，單一項目道具成本達30萬元。
同時，由於演播廳已經無法容納升級版的道具，新一季中增設了“戶外挑戰”。為配合挑戰專門設計的一座大型迷宮將在本季與觀眾見面。負責設計的專家憑借圖紙也無法順利走出迷宮，迷宮內設計有大量干擾門、回環路，共計有完全相同的420扇木門、840個把手，方向感最好的編導花了40分鐘僅鎖了19個迷宮門，錯了3個。在選手挑戰之前，四個編導同時在裡面按照圖紙僅鎖門便花了5小時。而在這項迷宮挑戰中，劇組也搭建了超大的復雜“建筑”，整個迷宮佔地規模達900平米。

第一季《最強大腦》中的李童星視攀岩如生命，卻遭到家人反對，為獲得妻子支持前來挑戰后，他所在地宣城的攀岩俱樂部主動聯系他，合作開辦了宣城第一家攀岩館。
同樣曾被逼到夢碎邊緣的還有“右手變形”的書店老板王國林，節目播出后，王國林的“百草園”聲名大噪，此外，節目播出后他更遇到自己“相見恨晚”的女友，愛情事業雙豐收。
吳天勝憑借120個指紋快速識別出對應的人，節目播出后，吳天勝名揚海內外，在哈佛、新加坡等地，他都被粉絲認出並被要求合影。對此他表示意外：“想不到自己會有粉絲！” （首席記者劉瑋）
